"INTA-International Trademark Congress", the world's most well-attended brand professionals event, hosted more than 10,600 participants from all around the world with a record of attendance.
Organized by International Trademark Association in Barcelona on 20-24 May 2017 with the participation of 10,668 people including brand managers, trademark attorneys, lawyers and patent office officials from 140 countries, the world's greatest trademark event came to an end.
During the congress, more than 300 training sessions and over 100 committee meetings were held and 30 acquaintance meetings and tens of receptions were realized on various regional and global brand practices and sanctions, especially the fights against brand imitation crime, customs protection, brand problems faced in developing economies including China, and brand "reconciliation" approaches whose importance has increased in Turkey with the new law.
Turkey Breakthrough of Destek Patent
In order to introduce the new Intellectual Property Rights Law and rising values of Turkey on a global scale, a delegation of Destek Patent, including Kemal Yamankaradeniz, President of the Board of Directors, Ersin Dereligil, Board Member, as well as Claudia Kaya, Ahmet Faruk Yamankaradeniz, Yeşim Metin, Simay Akbaş, Pelin Demiroğlu and Ahmet Furkan Özdemir, engaged in intense contacts and activities at INTA Congress.
For Destek Patent's Private Breakfast Reception, which was organized at GranVia Fira, a congress center hotel, with participation of Mr. Cihan GELERİ, our Consul General in Spain, 250 distinguished brand managers and representatives were invited from fifty countries. At the meeting stand opened at the foyer entry door, more than fifty meetings were held and hundreds of brochures were distributed.
Destek Patent successfully represented our country at INTA 2017 in the field of Intellectual property rights, and got together with solution partners that operate abroad in the meetings held within the framework of the Congress. In the meetings held separately with brand representatives of international solution partners and law firms, practices on both national and international registration procedures, situations with development potential and successful samples were assessed. Moreover, problems of Turkish industrialists and brand owners, and solution proposals for these problems were discussed.
