The Map of Turkey's Technoparks

Today, a country's ability to compete worldwide is directly related to the production of new knowledge and technological development taking place in that country. The number of technoparks, which are considered as the most important element of technological development, is rapidly increasing in our country. According to Startup Watch data, the total number of technoparks in Turkey is 27, of which 6 are in Istanbul, 6 are in Ankara, 4 are in Izmir, and 4 are in Kocaeli. The fact that there are 47 technoparks in 27 different cities, being Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Kocaeli in the first place, is considered as a great opportunity for start-ups. Approximately 1,900 start-ups are located in 47 technoparks. Ankara hosts 590 of these start-ups, whereas there are 480 start-ups in Istanbul, 195 in Izmir, and 165 in Kocaeli.
