Previously, a new battery cell that could travel more than 1.5 million kilometers was designed and tested by Tesla's research partner Jeff Dahn and Dalhousie University.

And this time, Tesla applied for a patent for a battery cell similar to the battery tested in the previous research.

With the new patent applied for, it aims to increase the performance of cells and make batteries last longer.

While realizing its goal, it focuses on a new battery cell that uses different additives. If Tesla can increase the performance of the cells in the battery it designed, there will be further development in the subject of electric vehicles.
