Voice Control System that Directs Automobiles by Apple

Apple has patented a voice command system that will be used to guide vehicles.

In 2018, Apple analyst Min Chi-Kuo mentioned this product among the products the company will launch in the future. Comparing the Apple Car to the first iPhone, Kuo said the product could help Apple reach the 2 trillion-dollar value it is targeting.

Apple's vehicle, called Project Titan, which is alleged to have been developed since 2014, has so far filed numerous patent applications, involving executives from several popular automakers, including General Motors, Ford and Tesla.

The patent filed by Apple allows you to give voice commands to a driverless car. So with new technology, you tell the car where to go, and the car does the rest for you; it even parks itself.
The patent titled "Self-Driving Vehicle Guidance Around Destination Using Destination Signals" was filed on August 2, 2019. The most important feature of the patent, which was made public on January 23, 2020, is the voice command feature, for example, you will tell your car you want to buy flowers via voice command, and the car will detect the nearest florist and take you there. The command does not have to be precise, it can also be vague, as in the florist example. The new technology ensures that a suitable target is found to complete the mission.

This new patent can also do research as to finding the ideal parking spot, finding the prices in a restaurant where you are going to eat, conducting proximity research, and restaurant visit history.

In addition to these features, the car will also be able to use your gestures, glances and touch inputs to receive instructions. The gesture example given in the patent is as follows: When you hold your smartphone in your hand towards a parking spot, the system will detect where you are pointing and park your car there.
