Completing their R & D operations and launching the "Bosphore New Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Detection Kit" in February a few weeks after the WHO published the genetic codes of Coronavirus, Anatolia Diagnostic and Biotechnology Products facilitated the diagnosis of tens of thousands of people with kits sold in several European countries, particularly Italy and Poland, and the Middle East and Asian countries, particularly Pakistan and Iran.
This test, which works with the Real-Time PCR technique, also used by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), detects the virus in the blood in as little as 2 hours. Thanks to its design detecting multiple target areas, the test kit prevents the risk of possible mutations that may occur in the virus affecting the test result and gives results with 100% specificity. Real-Time PCR technology is used for diagnostic tests of many diseases, especially HIV-1 and Hepatitis, by university hospitals, large public hospitals, some private hospitals and diagnostic laboratories in Turkey. This technology gives earlier and more precise results than serological tests, which work to find out if the body produces antibodies against the virus.
