According to information compiled from Turkish Patent and Trademark Institute (TÜRKPATENT) data, a total of 20,783 applications were submitted to the institution in 1995, including 1690 patents, 41 utility models, 16,194 trademarks and 2,858 designs.

Vestel took the lead among Turkish companies that received a European Patent (EP) certificate from the European Patent Office in 2021. According to the statement made by the company, Vestel, the Turkish company that received the most EP certificates during the year, will contribute significantly to its competitiveness in global trade with its wide patent portfolio.
