Coronavirus Did Not Affect Intellectual Property Rights Applications
Turkish Republic Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa VARANK has indicated that there has been a devastating decrease in Intellectual Property Rights applications in many countries due to the new type of coronavirus epidemic that affected the whole world last year.
In his statement, Minister Varank said that 8,200 domestic patents, 3,577 domestic utility models, 41,921 domestic designs, and 170,590 trademark applications (155,913 were domestic applications) were made to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) last year.
