Qazpatent Unveils Virtual Exhibition Showcasing Kazakhstan’s Invention Legacy

Qazpatent announces the opening of a virtual exhibition "Inventions and Innovative Ideas of Kazakhstan: the Legacy of the 19th-20th Centuries" dedicated to the outstanding achievements of Kazakhstani inventors. This unique project is aimed at popularizing the historical heritage of Kazakhstan in the field of invention and intellectual property.

In February 2024, Qazpatent launched a large-scale project to create a virtual exhibition. As part of the preparation, extensive research was carried out: requests were sent to archives, correspondence was organized with libraries and partner institutions, and a detailed search was performed in specialized databases. The result of this work was the restoration and digitization of rare historical documents, including unique security documents (patents and privileges), which were previously inaccessible to the general public.

Today, the virtual platform provides access to 10 unique security documents for inventions in industry, testifying to the creative and engineering potential of Kazakhstani inventors. These technical solutions were not only ahead of their time, but also had a significant impact on the development of industry, infrastructure and technology both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
