We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Economy in the UAE now collects annuity of patents, utility models, and industrial designs according to the new fee schedule approved by the cabinet published on 13.01.2024. The Ministry reaffirms that all annuity payments of zero amount made in advance (which is a system error) are not valid. The applicants will be asked again to pay the correct amount of annuity for the zero-amount annuity paid in advance in the old system once the due date is coming. Considering the above, all annuity fees due in November 2024 and beyond must be repaid with the correct official fee.
