Cooperation in Intellectual Property: Belarus-Russia Agreement and Mongolia MoU Signed

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus approved a draft intergovernmental agreement with the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of intellectual property. This is indicated by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 394 dated May 29, 2024. The draft Agreement provides for the determination of mechanisms and directions of cooperation between the two countries in the field of legal protection of intellectual property objects, protection and management of rights to them, and the creation of conditions for the development of such cooperation on a mutually beneficial and balanced basis.

On June 3, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of intellectual property was signed between the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Implementing Agency of the Government of Mongolia (IPOM). The signing of the interagency memorandum will contribute to the maximum utilization of the potential of the intellectual property systems of the two countries in order to actively protect the interests of national applicants when entering the foreign market.
