People will be able to Have a Virtual Tour in Istanbul Ataturk Airport via Google Maps
Istanbul Atatürk Airport was transferred to the virtual environment by TAV Information Services in the most realistic way. It is reported that the users can have a lifelike experience by walking around the airport with the “Google Street View” application, which creates a panoramic map that can be visited 360 degrees by bringing together thousands of photos taken at the terminals.
TAV Airports Chief Executive Officer Sani Şener on this:
"As part of our mission to produce passenger-friendly airport, and innovative projects to get to the highest level of passenger satisfaction, we are pleased to implement this application in Turkey and being the first to do so. We plan to expand this free application, which will be helpful for our passengers' travel plans and provide them detailed information about the airport, in other airports we operate. Users can have a lifelike experience by walking around the airport with the “Google Street View” application, which creates a panoramic map that can be visited 360 degrees by bringing together thousands of photos taken at the terminals. Istanbul Ataturk Airport became the first airport from Turkey that was added to the platform, which hosts more than 50 airports and subway and train stations from different parts of the world.

TAV Airports Media Relations officials also said, “The application can be easily accessed by visiting the Google Maps page on the web and typing 'Istanbul Atatürk Airport' in the search box. On the page that opens, a yellow human shape appears to accompany the visitors, and when this yellow mark is dragged and brought over the map, some areas turn blue. These areas are places where detailed Street View images can be accessed. The tour begins by dragging and dropping the yellow man to the point wished to be seen closely."
