Izmir Metropolitan Municipality received a trademark registration license for the "Milk Lamb" project, through which it distributes milk to children aged 1-5 to 118 thousand households.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality received a trademark registration license for the "Milk Lamb" project, through which it distributes milk to children aged 1-5 to 118 thousand households. Carried out in successful cooperation with Tire Milk Cooperative, the project which enables the children to drink 2 liters of milk a week, was announced to be the first trademark registered in Turkey in its field.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which has been supporting children in the development age and their families since 2005 with the "School Milk" project, revised the project after the decision of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock to start milk distribution in primary schools in 2012, and this time targeted the 1-5 age group. Like the "School Milk" which quickly became popular, this model of door-to-door milk distribution has become an example for Turkey. The Metropolitan Municipality, which distributes 4 liters of milk to 118 thousand children every 15 days, while expanding and carrying out this social project, finalized the application for the name and logo rights in June 2013, and received the trademark registration of Süt Kuzusu (Milk Lamb).
Trademark Registration License was delivered by Destek Patent
Destek Patent Regional Manager Süleyman Zemin, who delivered the trademark registration certificate to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary-General Pervin Şenel Genç, said that this project was the first trademark in Turkey in its field.
