TUBITAK's Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Competition

The electric vehicle designed by the Engineering Faculty students from Trakya University was granted the "Promotion and Dissemination" award in the Alternative Energy Vehicles Competition of TÜBİTAK.

According to Trakya University's report, the electric automobile, which was designed by seventeen students studying at engineering faculty and which received the "design award" in "Electromobile" category of TÜBİTAK's 11th Alternative Energy Vehicle Competition, Also competed in the 12th competition that was organized in Kocaeli Körfez Circuit.

"Pehlivan Elektrak" took the second place in the "Electromobile" category among 34 participants.

Thanks to the introduction of the vehicle in five Balkan countries, the team was granted the "Promotion and Dissemination" award.

The battery of the vehicle that can speed up to 110 kilometers per hour, weighs 190 kilograms, and has lithium batteries charges in 40 minutes. The vehicle can make 100 kilometers with a battery of 3 kilowatt-hours. "Pehlivan Elektrak" can make 100 kilometers for 75 cents.

"Pehlivan Elektrak", seen off by Bülent Tüfenkci - Minister of Customs and Trade - at Kapıkule Customs Gate in April, was introduced in Balkan countries.
